Ambrosia Parsley Plays the Porch
posted: October 5, 2009

The Mystery Spot is proud to present a rare musical performance by Ambrosia Parsley on the porch Sunday, Oct. 11th @ 1 PM.
Our final MUSIC FOR FRONT PORCHES performance of the season is this Columbus Day Weekend at Homer & Langley's Mystery Spot Antiques. And as always, it's free!

The Mystery Spot's MUSIC FOR FRONT PORCHES presents
- Ambrosia Parsley and Chris Maxwell-
Sunday, Oct. 11th @ 1 PM on the porch - FREE!
Homer & Langley's Mystery Spot Antiques, 72 Main Street, Phoenicia, NY
(845) 688-7868, www.mysteryspotantiques.com

Ambrosia Parsley, formerly of Shivaree, lives in Phoenicia, NY with her husband, son and two dogs. While seldom seen professionally pretty much anywhere in this country, Ambrosia has toured extensively abroad, sold hundreds of thousands of records, graced magazine covers and prime time television events. Here she might be best known for failing--with Chuck D, Rachel Maddow & Lizz Winstead on "Unfiltered" at Air America Radio --to overthrow the nation's 43rd president. Currently at work on her fifth record, this frequent Mystery Spot shopper returns Sunday to consider to meatballs, religion and used nighties, maybe preview some new material from her forthcoming solo debut.
Ambrosia will be elegantly accompanied by Chris Maxwell, one time NYC "King of Guitar" who has worked with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Yoko Ono, Ray Davies and some others.

This will be our final front porch concert of the 2009 series; however, the shop will remain open through the holiday season. Thanks to everyone for your support, with a special shout-out to all of the amazing musicians who have performed on our front porch for free all summer long! The Mystery Spot is open weekends/holidays May - December, 12 noon - 4 pm. It's always best to call/e. first if coming from a distance. Please think vintage and support your Main Street businesses for your holiday shopping!
